There are multiple programs that KCSL provides. I will list them below but their website has colorful tabs listing them. I will also list the regions services are provided in below as they vary!
School Readiness
School Readiness
Restorative Education Services: This program helps students that have been suspended long-term, expelled or are otherwise unable to maintain in a traditional school setting. KCSL’s Restorative Education improves student’s ability to function within a traditional or alternative school and earn their high school diploma. MUST BE REFERRED by Shawnee County school district.
Family Support
1-800-Children
1-800-CHILDREN, powered by the Kansas Children's Service League (KCSL), serves as a statewide call line and resource directory. 1-800-CHILDREN provides an outlet to discuss parenting questions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by phone, app, website and email. We’re here to provide parenting support without judgment. Service is available state-wide
Circle of Support
Circle of Support tab includes support groups that are available per type of support. The only one targeting kinship/grandparents raising grands is the following available in Wichita only at this time. Check back for other groups as they may add more!
Kinship Caregivers - Second Saturday monthly 10 a.m. online via Zoom or in-person at KCSL's Wichita office, 1365 N Custer St. Parents, grandparents and other relatives who are raising children can join us for assistance, guidance and encouragement.
Family Resource Center
Encouraging overall wellness for families, KCSL’s Family Resource Center offers free support and help with immediate needs to parents and caregivers. A case manager provides one-on-one support and coordinates community resources to help your family thrive. KCSL’s Family Resource Center serves families in Wichita.
Kinship Navigator
KCSL’s Kinship Navigator offers free and confidential support to grandparents, relatives or family friends raising someone else’s children in a complex system. A case manager offers support, assists in overcoming potential barriers and coordinates community resources to help the family thrive.
Kinship Navigator services are offered in Sedgwick, Cowley, Sumner and Butler Counties.
Mental Health Services
KCSL’s Mental Health services provide strategies to children and families to help them build upon their strengths and cope with diverse problems that can occur in their lives. KCSL provides individual therapy for children and teens along with family therapy. All services are offered in a caring, supportive and non-judgmental environment in the strictest of confidence.
Services include play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and other individual therapy methods. A comprehensive evaluation of the child’s needs is completed to develop a personalized treatment plan.
KCSL’s Mental Health services are offered to children and families in Sedgwick County.

Youth Oasis
KCSL’s Oasis Youth program provides case management services for families with juveniles in custody with the Kansas Department of Corrections.​
